Jean-François has cut all ties with his old father, a respected provincial man. He has moved to Paris where he lives from odd jobs. One night, he receives a disturbing call from Catherine, his father's last companion: his father is dying. Jean-François arrives in time to spend the last few moments of his father’s life with him and then learns the details of his last will and testament : his father asks him to scatter his ashes in the Drâa Valley of Morocco.
